Culture & Diversity Foundation

The Foundation's purpose is to make arts and culture equally accessible to all.
Fimalac set up the Culture & Diversity Foundation in October 2006 to fulfil its dual commitment to culture and community outreach.
The goal of the Culture & Diversity Foundation is to enable young people from areas targeted for special help in education to participate in cultural activities and develop their artistic talents.
Today, the Foundation plays an important role in opening doors to high-quality cultural and artistic programmes, in which nearly 11,000 secondary school students from over 150 schools in these areas took part in 2010.
The Foundation's two priorities are social cohesion and equal opportunity

It develops and implements long-term programmes that foster social cohesion and equal opportunity, working in partnership with key players from the world of art and culture and in close cooperation with France's national educational system.

Social Cohesion

The Foundation's social cohesion programmes are rooted in the belief that shared cultural reference points and artistic interests will enable young people to achieve personal fulfilment and live together in society.

Equal Opportunity

The Foundation's programmes to promote equal opportunity help young people from priority education areas to pursue advanced studies in art and culture in France's leading institutions of higher learning. These programmes are based on an innovative three-step process - inform, prepare and support - that has been approved by France's Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture and Communication.
